Prada, the famous Italian fashion house, launched a chunky loafer branded with their fancy logo. With a high-gloss finish, these black patent leather shoes have drawn the attention of the who’s who in the modeling industry and social media influencers. They also come in more pared-back tones. Other top brands have also followed this trend.

Proenza Schouler, a women’s wear and accessories brand, has added to their trademark contrast stitching a pair of platform leather loafers. Following closely behind, the British footwear and clothing brand Dr. Martens, has collaborated with French Comme Des Garcons to create their version of the shoe.

The loafers match well with either a pleat skirt and sweatshirt or jeans and knits, which can be worn during winter. If you are after a sophisticated look, consider pairing the loafers with a statement knit and printed midi skirt.
